2021 ETI Solar RFP

RFP and Bidders Conference Updates

    RFP Update

Entergy Services, LLC (“ESL”), on behalf of Entergy Texas, Inc. (“ETI”), hereby notifies interested parties of several updates for the 2021 ETI Solar RFP (“RFP”). The RFP is expected to be issued in the third quarter of 2021. The target aggregate amount of solar capacity sought in the RFP has been increased from 200 MW (AC) to 400 MW (AC). ETI seeks to obtain this capacity through a combination of build-own-transfer (“B-O-T”) agreements, self-build alternatives, and power purchase agreements (“PPAs”). ETI reserves the right to acquire more or less capacity than the above target for any product solicited.

The RFP will retain the requirement, noted in the Notice of Intent issued January 29, 2021, that any proposed solar resource must have either a fully executed Generator Interconnection Agreement with Midcontinent Independent System Operator, Inc. (“MISO”) or remain active in the MISO 2021 Cycle 1 Definitive Planning Phase (“DPP”) study or an earlier DPP study. Resources that do not meet at least one of these two criteria would be ineligible to participate in the RFP. The current 2021 Cycle 1 DPP application deadline is July 22, 2021..

   Bidders Conference Update

The Bidders Conference will be rescheduled to occur shortly following RFP issuance. As new information becomes available, ESL will update potential bidders and other stakeholders through notices posted on the RFP website.

Please monitor the RFP website for further information about the RFP. Thank you for your interest in the RFP.
